The testimonies of these spells are intrinsically linked to spiritual, political, and popular culture, from which they forge ties with the speculative resentments of intimacies and crowds, reacting sometimes in a feigned manner, sometimes honestly, and/or transposing re-signified circumstances—not as passive witnesses but as accomplices and victims of an oppressive memory—to adulterate the rituals of the social imaginary, seeking to suspect, subvert, and challenge symbols and narratives recounted from the abuse of power; those that were imposed on us, continue to be imposed, and that they want to keep imposing as the official version of the truth.
